Speed Boost: Framer's New Performance Update
Framer projects now open 2.5X faster with improved loading states.
Your sites become interactive 50% quicker.
Accessibility: In-app settings are now fully navigable via tabbing.
Getting Started
Explore all features and fixes by diving into the CMS. Begin by selecting CMS in the Toolbar. From the left sidebar, choose to start with Sample Data (ideal for blogs) or create a new Collection from scratch. Once set up, you can manage your content by adding or editing entries directly from the CMS view. Sample data will preload a few blog posts for you — feel free to edit or remove them anytime.
Customizing Fields
Tailor your content by setting up various input fields. For example, a blog might require a title, slug (URL endpoint), and a long-form content field. If you're building a product directory or photo gallery, you can add an image field or other custom inputs. To modify fields, click a column title to open a modal where you can add, rearrange, or remove fields.
Adding Content to Your Canvas
Once your content is ready, head back to the canvas. Open the Insert menu and go to CMS Content. You'll find your collection ready to drag and drop onto the canvas — it appears as a special Stack connected to your data. Each item in the collection will auto-populate, and you can fully customize the design just like any regular Stack.
Creating Dynamic Pages
With a blog collection in place, let’s add dynamic pages to showcase your articles. From the Pages menu, click + and select CMS Page. Choose your collection (like Blog), and a new page will be created, pulling data from the first entry in the collection.
Linking Collection Items
For seamless navigation, each entry in your collection list should link to its corresponding page. If links aren't working, double-check that the first item in the Collection List has a properly configured link.
